Expected more detailed statistics going back at least five years for at least the most significant players. Expected more decisive analysis. Some handy one and two page layouts--schedules, team depth charts, and rankings based on generic scoring systems. The best part was a breakdown of a mock draft by experts from multiple sources. Also helpful was the analysis of teams' changes in the off-season; I wish that part had gone further in depth. If you want charts to follow as guides, okay. If you want to crunch the numbers going back several seasons and the judge the implications for yourself, not so good at all. This was my first time buying a fantasy guide, so my expectations may have been excessive. Believe me, I have tried many. Awesome cheatsheets.
These guys do a good job compiling information about off season moves and such but their rankings were really crappy this year.
I've been getting this magazine for years and find it to be the best. Comes with additional content and customize-able rankings according to your league's scoring format. Definitely make use of their website after purchasing the magazine to get updated rankings prior to your fantasy draft.
Bought this as a gift for a man in his 30s. He's the one that picked how many stars to give it. He is a big fan of data and stats, etc. and said he'd give it 4 1/2 stars if that was an option.
I haven't seen this one in the store for years. Now that Fantasy Football Index and I have been reunited, another FF championship can't be too far behind. You can't beat the insight in this one.
Honestly, I bought this magazine only to qualify for free shipping. However, the articles and cheat sheets were as helpful as the other fantasy football magazines out there without the big name recognition of the writers/publisher. The quality of paper used for the pages was cheaper than the other magazines, but after my drafts I usually discard them anyways.
